Internet Explorer 8 Compatibility Issues

The recent release of Internet Explorer has fixed the majority of CSS and JavaScript bugs found in previous versions, however many established websites are having incompatibility errors due to previous workarounds to fix the old bugs. If you are experiencing any of these problems with your website, please contact Ashby Web Design and we can help solve the issue for you.
Previous versions of Internet Explorer were filled with CSS bugs, causing many web designers hours of headaches, however now Microsoft have addressed the issues, some of the previous workarounds are causing websites to render incorrectly on version 8 of the browser, and quite annoying refreshing the page after a given period of time to render a web page in compatibility mode.
Fortunately in terms of CSS there is a workaround that we can implement to stop Internet Explorer switching the compatibility mode, and by default force Internet Explorer 8 to render as Internet Explorer 7 prior to your web page loading.
